Farécla Bonnet Painting Competition (2019) - Grand Final Results

and the Winner is...

With great excitement today (Wednesday 2 October) at 12:30pm PPG’s UK Technical Manager and Chairman of Judges for the 2019 Farécla Apprentice & Student Bonnet Painting Competition, Chris Pennell, revealed the winning bonnet by Poppy Merrin-Gregory from Bedford College VTC.

Poppy is sponsored by Anthony Scott, Head of Motor Vehicle.

The unveiling was made live on Farécla’s Facebook page and is available for catch-up.

...and our Runner-Up is...

Premier Bodywork’s Matthew Baldry – Gold Medalist in the IMI World Skills UK Nationals 2018, Automotive Refinishing – revealed the runner up: Alex Campbell from Dick Lovett, Bristol (sponsored by Tom Appleford, Painter Trainer).

Congratulations to our Grand Finalists

All Grand Finalists have won a cash prize and the NEW Farécla G360 Super Fast System with Alex winning £500 and Poppy winning £1,000 plus a Farécla G Plus Polishing Machine.

The winning bonnet will be on display at the Farécla stand at Advanced Engineering 2019 (K56), Birmingham NEC on 30th October.

Farécla closed its broadcast by thanking everyone who took part and for all their hard work and effort – all involved salute their commitment to improving their knowledge and skills and wish them a bright future in the industry.
