Less Plastic, More Progress
Farécla is pleased to announce that the G Mop Applicator Range is fully transitioning from plastic bags to new look cardboard cartons – a shift that improves recyclability and enhances the packaging in several practical ways.
In line with our commitment to sustainability, G Mop applicators will be packed in PAP21 (non-corrugated paperboard) cartons going forward. This builds on earlier changes made with the introduction of the Angled (GMC622/GMF622) and Waffle Foams (GMC822/GMF822) whose predecessors used plastic bags.
This is in addition to our previous efforts; including the removal of bleaching from outer cartons and increased use of Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) approved sources where possible.
Once complete (see "Coming Soon"), this move means all G Mop applicators – apart from Bolt Adaptors (still picked and packed in jiffy bags) – will be boxed.
The pads themselves remain the same – only the packaging has changed to improve clarity and sustainability.
More Than a Box
We’ve also used this packaging update as an opportunity to improve clarity and functionality based on feedback from staff, distributors and end users.
The refreshed design aligns with the look of our latest compound ranges (G360 and Profile) and includes clearer guidance for product selection and use.
Upgrades to Existing Features
The example below uses packaging for a 150 mm range applicator. Some features may be altered - or omitted - on "75 mm range" applicator packaging due to space limitations.
First, the label has been moved from the BACK of the box to the FRONT (for SKUs that were already in cartons), and the label itself has been significantly enhanced:
1 | PRODUCT DESCRIPTIONS
Product names have been simplified, removing size/thread/pack size references.
150 mm and 200 mm applicators also include bullet points explaining pad usage.
2 | PAD DIMENSIONS
Each label now clearly shows both the polishing face and backing diameters, backing type (e.g. hook and loop), and recommended back plate size with a larger illustration of the applicator.
3 | SKU DETAILS
A black box highlights the size range (75 mm / 150 mm / 200 mm) to simplify choosing compatible accessories or alternative pads and clarifies which pads share a common back plate size.
This section also features the pack size and both the Farécla and SGA UPC codes.
4 | BARCODE
The 150 mm / 200 mm range pad box labels feature a colour-coded part number above the barcode on the side of the box for quicker visual identification during storage or stacking.

A NEW Cut Speed / Finish Level indicator has been added to help end users have a better expectation of the results they can achieve with their choice of applicator. *

7 | "USE WITH?" QR CODE
The QR Code takes users directly to the product page, which has been updated to offer product recommendations for both Automotive and Marine / Industrial use. *
8 | ADDITIONAL QR CODES
Each box features QR codes to the ever-evolving G Mop and G Plus pages of the website - discover the latest additions to our range of polishing machines such as the G Plus Mini Tools.
The 150 mm / 200 mm range pad boxes also feature a QR code leading to our sustainability page.
9 | HOOK / HANGING HOLE
The 150 mm / 200 mm range pad boxes feature a hook hole, allowing for the pads to be hung in retail displays or hooks in workspaces.

This transition will not impact pack / carton configurations, but palletisation may be impacted.
Farécla will provide updated weights, dimensions etc. to distributors on a per SKU basis once updated packaging is available.

G Mop Applicator Range
