Farécla Announces Major Step Forward in Recyclability of 1 Litre Bottles (2025)
The Majority of 1L Bottles Can Now Be Recycled
Farecla is pleased to announce that the majority of our 1L bottles can now be recycled — marking an important milestone in our ongoing commitment to sustainability and circular material use.
Customers can easily identify whether their Farecla bottle is recyclable by checking the resin code embossed at the base of the container:
Resin Code 2 - HDPE
Resin Code 2: HDPE (High-Density Polyethylene) 1L bottles - as seen below - are recyclable.
Example products include: G360 Super Fast Compound & Finish, G3 Premium and G3 Extra Plus Abrasive Compounds, Profile 350 Premium Liquid, Profile 400 Advanced Plus Liquid Compound, and Farécla Clean and Protect.
See "SKU(s) | Resin Code 2: HDPE" at the bottom of this for a full product list.
50% PCR Content
By recycling Farécla bottles with Resin Code 2, customers help increase the supply of post-consumer recycled (PCR) material, supporting a more circular material flow and reducing environmental impact.
In addition, all Farécla 1L bottles with resin code 2 are already made using 50% PCR content, meaning that each recyclable bottle both uses and contributes to the availability of recycled plastic material. This change reflects Farécla’s ongoing efforts to improve the sustainability of our packaging without compromising product quality or performance.
Resin Code 7 - Other
Resin Code 7: Other 1L bottles - as seen below - still contain a nylon barrier and cannot be recycled.
Products affected are:
- G3 Advanced Liquid Compound
- Profile 200 Select Liquid Compound
- G3 Extra Abrasive Compound
