4. Leichten Druck auf das Pad ausüben. Nicht auf die Poliermaschine lehnen oder sie in einem zu steilen Winkel halten – das könnte zwar manchmal schneller schneiden, aber Hologramme und damit Nacharbeiten können die Folge sein. 
5. Nicht zu lange polieren – dies kann Mikrokratzer in die Oberflächen setzen, die dann mehr Zeit zur Entfernung benötigen. Produkte mit transparentem Film können helfen. 
6. Ein brandneues Schaumstoffpad vor der ersten Verwendung kneten und mit Schleifmittel grundieren – dies verhindert jegliche anfängliche „Kratzigkeit“ und fördert effektiveres Polieren von Anfang an. 
7. Schaumstoff- und Wollpolierpads immer regelmäßig auskämmen. Mit warmem Wasser ausspülen und über Nacht trocknen lassen, um die Lebensdauer der Pads zu verlängern. Eine Ansammlung von Schleifmittel von vorherigen Arbeiten verringert den Schnitt und verursacht Rutschen. Getrocknetes Schleifmittel kann Kratzer in die Oberfläche setzen. 
8. Das Polieren von nicht vollständig ausgehärtetem Lack vermeiden (besonderes Augenmerk auf die Backofentemperatur und kalte Stellen, Pistolenkonfigurationen und Spritztechnik legen). Weicher Lack kann nicht effektiv poliert werden und muss möglicherweise später nachgearbeitet werden.

A Rotary polisher spins in a continuous circular motion, creating a direct and aggressive polishing action that is ideal for faster defect removal and heavier cutting applications.

A Dual Action (DA) polisher combines rotary and oscillating movements, producing a smoother and generally less aggressive polishing action that is commonly used for refining and finishing.

This stage eliminates P1500 sanding marks from conventional low bake clear coats and prepares the surface for MEDIUM CUT polishing.
