Profile range adopts simplified and strengthened offer in new look design
Farécla is pleased to announce a new chapter in the brand history of its Profile range aimed at marine and industrial users of polishing compounds and waxes.
Painstaking customer research and consequent product development resulted in a streamlined, upgraded range with a new design that offers significantly enhanced clarity and information to assist the user. Part numbers are unchanged except where a new size or formulation has been introduced.
The new range features:
- Reintroduction of a number scale alongside product names as an indicator of coarseness
- 2 new upgraded formulations – for Profile 350 Premium Liquid and Profile 700 Finish
- Premium Liquid – ultralow VOC, cleaner in use and an enhanced gloss
- Finish – zero VOC and very easy wipe off
- Sample tubes for selected key products:
- 100g Profile 100 Heavy Cut Compound (a new name for Profile Extra Coarse Cut)
- 100ml Profile 200 Select
- 100ml Profile 400 Advanced Plus
- 100ml Profile 700 Finish (new formulation)
Pot Changes
Farécla has used the packaging rebrand as an opportunity to advance the green credentials of Profile 100 Heavy Cut Paste Compound by switching away from a pot made from 100% virgin plastic into a pot that contains a significant proportion of recycled plastic. As a consequence, the new pot and lid are grey not white. At the same time, to reduce the incidence of breakages in transport the product will revert to its original 3kg in the pot from the current 3.2kg with the price per pot reduced pro rata.
In pursuit of simplicity the new range features fewer products. Profile Advanced is being deleted, and 2 older style legacy products (Profile Premium Paste and Profile 300 Paste) will not be part of the new range although they will continue to be manufactured while demand in selected world markets warrants. As paste products both will make the same change as Profile 100 Heavy Cut Paste i.e. into the more environmentally friendly grey pot and lid with fill switching in both cases to 3kg, with their price per pot reduced pro rata respectively.
Profile Range
Profile 100 EXTRA Heavy Cut Paste Compound - commonly dubbed "liquid sandpaper" - is a coarse, aggressive, water-based compounding paste for tough resins and gelcoats.
Profile 200 SELECT Coarse Cut Liquid Compound eliminates sanding marks and heavy defects from production and tooling gelcoat surfaces.
Profile 350 PREMIUM Liquid, an exceptional boat polish, efficiently eliminates sanding marks, rejuvenates gel coat surfaces, and achieves a superior high gloss finish. Especially effective on dark colours, this versatile product serves as a comprehensive one-step solution or can be integrated into a two-step compounding process to attain an even higher gloss and minimise swirl marks.
Profile 400 ADVANCED PLUS Fast Medium Liquid Compound eliminates P1500 sanding marks and defects from paint, lacquer, acrylic, plexiglass and gelcoat surfaces, leaving a high gloss.
Profile 700 FINISH Light Cut Polish and Swirl Remover eliminates minor defects and swirls from paint, lacquer and gelcoat surfaces, leaving a mirror shine finish
Profile Polymer UV Wax for Machine Application is an easily applied wax containing UV inhibitors that provides up to 3 months protection and gloss on paint, lacquer and gelcoat surfaces.
Profile UV Wax for Hand Application is a thick liquid wax that incorporates special UV absorbers to give up to 3 months protection to gel coats and paints exposed to external weathering.
