How to Protect a Painted Boat Finish

Sunlight reflecting off the water means double exposure of your boat's paintwork to harmful ultraviolet rays, so it's important to use a wax that contains UV inhibitors.
For large areas the recommendation is Profile Polymer UV Wax applied by machine.
If you are working by hand use Profile UV Wax

Option 1: Applying Boat Wax with a Polishing Machine

Step 1: Profile Polymer UV Wax

Make sure the surface is clean, dry and cool to the touch. Shake well before use.

Step 2: Apply wax to the boat

Spread the wax on the surface and polish it with a rotating eccentric polisher at 800-1100 rpm. Work in small areas and keep the applicator flat on the surface.

Step 3: Remove wax

Clean the surface with a G Plus microfibre polishing cloth. Repeat the application for a stronger shine.

Option 2: Applying Boat Wax by Hand

Make sure the surface is clean, dry and cool to the touch. Shake well before use.

Step 2: Apply wax to the boat

Apply a small amount of product directly to the surface or a clean G Plus microfibre polishing cloth. Rub the product onto the surface in circular motions, working in small areas.

Step 3: Remove wax

Let the wax dry to a veil. Clean the surface. Repeat the application for a stronger shine
