In our first joint event since starting our G3 Pro + Caterham Cars partnership earlier this year, the G3 Pro team were on hand to help Caterham owners with advice and demos on how to best care for their Caterham at their Easter Open Day.
Taking place at their Gatwick showroom, around 500 Caterham car owners and fans get together to talk everything Caterham, with owners coming from as far afield as mainland Europe for the event.
With a line up of over 150 Caterhams outside, plus Caterham's own new and used stock inside it was a real pleasure to see the variety of specifications and finishes on offer - I think it's safe to say that no two are alike!
It was clear that car care is a big part of Caterham ownership - whether reserved for high days and holidays, track day warriors or one of the many taking part in The Caterham Academy, maintaining the surfaces brought up a number of questions from the public.
Our man, Dan, was on hand alongside Caterham's own detailer Matt, working on a Caterham 270R which was rather fittingly finished in Farecla colours - Gravity Black body with Detonator Yellow rollbar and chassis.
We had taken the opportunity to split the car in half and give it the full G3 Pro treatment on one half before the Easter Open Day, with the other half being completed at the event.
The challenges faced included the usual mud, dirt, bird lime but also the variety of surface types found on a Caterham - carbon fibre wings and dash panels, GRP seats, vinyl roof/tonneau, PPF'd and non PPF'd paintwork. And a rather large shiny exhaust right in the firing line of the offside wheels!
