Farécla Bonnet Painting Competition (2018) - Registration Deadline Extended

At the request of the organisers of the Body Repair Industry Apprentice Awards (BRIAA), which takes place at the Ricoh Arena, Coventry on Tuesday 26 June, Farécla has agreed to extend the registration deadline for its student / apprentice painter competition, by one week. The final date for registration to this competition is now Friday 6 July.

Farécla Marketing Manager David Stokes commented: “We are very happy to accommodate the BRIAA organisers’ request, as both events share the same aim of encouraging and rewarding young people who are starting out in our industry. It makes perfect sense to allow an extra week for receipt of entry forms after BRIAA, as the event itself may generate more entries. Having submitted an entry form, participants then have until 1st August to submit photographs or videos of their painted bonnets.”

There are 5 prizes to be won:

FIRST PRIZE
£1,000 cash, plus full set of Farécla polishing materials and Farécla Polishing machine worth a further £250. Attendance with mentor (or other +1) as guests of Farécla at the Advanced Engineering Show on October 31, 2018 at the NEC, Birmingham, where their winning car bonnet design will be displayed.

RUNNER-UP
£500, plus full set of Farécla polishing materials.

2 OTHER FINALISTS
£250, plus full set of Farécla polishing materials.

BEST VIDEO OR SERIES OF PHOTOS SHOWING THE MAKING OF THE BONNET
A GoPro camera and, full set of Farécla polishing materials is a further prize available to entrants who choose to record the process of creating their bonnet. This prize will be unrelated to how far the particular bonnet progresses in the competition.
