Farécla Bonnet Painting Competition (2018) - Judges Revealed
Akzo Nobel’s George Sneddon to Head Judging Panel
Farécla is running a nationwide bonnet painting competition to find the UK’s most talented apprentice and student painters.
The competition will allow them to win some fantastic cash and product prizes, plus the overall winning bonnet will be displayed on the Farécla stand at the Advanced Engineering Show this Autumn. Closing date for submission of application forms is 29th June, and for completion of bonnet the date is 1st August.
Details of the 3-man judging panel for the grand final have now been released:-
George Sneddon, Global OEM Technical Program Manager, Automotive & Speciality Coatings at Akzo Nobel will be the chief judge. In the event of a tie he would have the casting vote.
George is joined on the jury by NCRC’s World Skills silver medal winner Daryl Head, and Farécla’s Graphic Design and Brand Manager, Tom French.
David Stokes, Marketing Manager at Farécla said:
“We are very pleased with the balance of the judging panel – the highest calibre of refinish expert in George, a young painter of proven talent in Daryl, and Tom who as the creator of Farécla’s new corporate look will be the ideal person to judge the aesthetics of the designs presented.
“We are really grateful to Akzo Nobel and Nationwide Crash Repair Centres for sharing Farécla’s desire to promote our industry to the younger generation. There is no doubt that the competition is a great chance for colleges and bodyshops the length and breadth of the country to showcase the talent of their students and apprentices.”
