End of season transfers for Team HARD
Last week, Tom announced his transfer from Team HARD over to Airwaves Racing. Just three rounds from the final, it came as a shock to Team HARD who had made positive headway throughout this year’s championship.
Commenting on the decision, team principle Tony Gilham says: “I was never going to stand in the way of a driver moving on, that’s not the person I am. So when Airwaves approached Tom, the opportunity was too good to turn down so he took it; however that means at the moment the long term contract we had with him is voided. I haven’t shut the door; we have big plans for next year and I am not sure what Tom has in the pipeline but you never know what could happen.”
In Tom’s place, Team HARD have passed the VW Passat onto VW Cup racers Andy Wilmot, Howard Fuller and Warren Scott. A great opportunity to move up to the next league of their racing careers, these drivers will be stepping up for Team HARD in the final round of this year’s championship.

Just yesterday, I was announced that Aiden Moffat has also transferred over to Team HARD and will be completing his final three rounds with the team. At just 16 years old, Moffat is the BTCC’s youngest competitor ever.
Showing excellent potential, we’re looking forward to seeing how he performs in the coming races.
