Bonnet Painting Competition Finalist Profile – Rhiannon Murfin
Motofix Exeter /1st year apprentice VW
How did you get into painting cars?
I thought it looked cool and did it at South Devon college for three years and then I got an apprenticeship last year with VW, through Motofix. My Dad has always been interested in cars so I have been brought up with it.
What was the idea behind your design?
I thought it would be a bit different because it is meant to be an optical illusion. It was a bit challenging to get it looking right. When I was at college for the first time I entered a bonnet competition they ran internally, I did an anchor on it, but that was the only time I have ever tried anything like this.
If you were the overall winner, how would you spend the £1000 cash?
I haven’t thought about it, I didn’t think I would get this far.
