Round 10 Preview
As we move into the penultimate race of the season, Team G3 move to Llandow Circuit. It’s a track with a difference, with none of the team having ever raced at this south Wales facility. Team G3 share their thoughts before their meet tomorrow.
The track presents a new challenge for us of course, but after a season of steady progression and honing some key tactics we’re sure we can overcome it. Hopefully the weather will be favourable as well, although Wales isn’t known for its year-round sunshine and the risk of heavy winds and showers could add some bite to the race.
South Wales is known for its rolling mountains and rugged landscape, but thankfully the circuit is nowhere near as undulating. However it is one of the longer circuits we’ve come across.
We’re hoping for a good race and plan on staying with the tactics which helped us to a 4th place finish at Whilton Mill; highlights of this race can be watched on our video here. These results have certainly helped us get to where we are now, which is 3rd in the championship.
It’s been a good learning year and a good season, but we know we need a decent result if we’re to retain our current standing; bearing in mind there’s only one race left, it’s crystal clear we’ve just got two chances to make this what we want. Onwards and upwards, or as they say in Welsh: “Ymlaen ac i fyny!”
